It is often said that the younger generations nowadays in Hong Kong
are luckier than the older generations, like their parents and grandparents as
society has improved a great deal in political, economic and social aspects.
However, one coin has two sides. Despite the improvement of society, we
also have to overcome many obstacles when we grow up.
Born in the 21st century, we benefit from the advancement of
technology with social media. We can make friends with people from foreign
countries and contact our overseas relatives without paying a cent. Even if we
live far from our friends, we can know what they are doing immediately and
share their joy. Moreover, advanced technology brings us better education
opportunities. With search engines like Google, we can instantly find an
answer to any question and learn by ourselves. We can also broaden our
horizons and learn about different cultures by reading articles on the Internet.
Development of technology has really made our lives more convenient.
As Millennials, we have more attention from parents. Unlike our
parents and grandparents, the majority of Millennials are the only child
in their family. Since our parents received less attention from their parents
when they were kids, they realize the importance of good parenting.
Therefore, they would try their best to provide us with the best possible
living and learning environments. For instance, we do not have to do any
household chores. Also, we can learn whatever we want like playing the
piano and drawing. It is said that raising a children needs HKD$4,000,000,
but I think that our parents spend way more than that.
While these are compelling points in favour of being a Millennial,
