            Introduction
Students’ stress is now a viral topic in Hong Kong, due to the suicide
of more than 20 students recently. This has aroused attention to students’
daily school lives, prompting many to investigate if students’ lives are really
stressful. A survey was carried out online in May 2016 with the following
            aims:

                 • to investigate the sources of students’ stress
                 • to find out how stressed students are
                 • to understand how students cope with stress

            Details of survey

In mid May, questionnaires were distributed to Secondary 1 to
Secondary 5 students. A total of 73 valid questionnaires were collected
from the respondents aged 11-18, of whom 48 were female (65.8%) and
            25 were male (34.2%)

            Results
            1. Degree of students’ stress
On a scale of 1 (not stressful at all) to 5 (very stressful), most of the
respondents (72.6%) answered 4 (quite stressful). 13.7% of the respondents
answered 1 (not stressful at all), and the same number of respondents
            answered 5 (very stressful).
