ground. One boy even tried to look under Minnie Mouse’s dress! How
rude!
However, it was the parade which changed my thinking of the job.
When I saw the smiles on the tourists’ faces, I knew it was really a Dream
Come True for them. It was the same old melody for the performers ─ ‘It’s
the fly high celebration so come on, come on!’ But for the children and the
tourists, this is where they can all be innocent and fly freely in the fairytales
with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. After a few working days, I started to love
encouraging the children to dance hand in hand. They could all be free and
dream as much as they wanted. No pressure. No criticisms. And I enjoyed
my part in it. The fairytales may not be real. But they bring happiness and
hope to people’s lives. Isn’t that the most important thing?
There is no doubt that I will apply for this job again next summer.
Although I may receive no respect and feel tired, I would like to see more
smiles on people’s faces. It is the fly high celebration for everyone.
